The Story

One Journey. Many Expressions. One Purpose.

Since 1995, music, faith, ministry, and creative expression have been woven together in the journey of Warren Jason Colbert, known as Mouthpiece.

What began with a passion for Christian hip-hop has grown into a creative and ministry legacy encompassing music production, visual storytelling, outreach, discipleship, media, and community collaboration.

This is more than a collection of brands.

This is the story behind the mission.

Meet Mouthpiece

The Man Behind the Mission

Warren Jason Colbert | Mouthpiece Since ’95

Warren Jason Colbert, known as Mouthpiece and God's Anointed Mouthpiece (G-A-M), is a Christian hip-hop artist, songwriter, music producer, creative visionary, and minister whose journey of faith, music, and outreach began in 1995.

Born and raised in Lorain, Ohio, Mouthpiece developed a passion for music and ministry that would eventually take him into churches, schools, festivals, detention centers, prisons, and communities, sharing the Gospel through hip-hop, testimony, and creative expression.

His musical journey includes his work with the pioneering Christian hip-hop group Radical Fanatics alongside longtime friend and ministry partner Brother Lew Acosta, affectionately known as “The Grandfather of Gospel Rap.” Together, they helped create the Time Is Running Out LP, an EP, music video, and documentary, establishing a foundation for years of music and ministry collaboration.

As a solo artist, Mouthpiece released projects including Listen 2 My Demo, Y2K Anthem, At Last, and The Underground Years. Throughout his career, he has shared stages with Christian music artists including KJ-52, Priesthood, Urban Disciple, John Reuben, K2S, Dynamic Twins, Hazzakim, and God's Child.

A Journey of Faith and Restoration

Mouthpiece's spiritual foundation began in Lorain, Ohio, where he was raised in the church and received early Christian education. His faith journey eventually led him to House of Praise International Church in Lorain, Ohio, where he has been an active member for 32 years under the spiritual leadership of Pastors Gilbert and Eileen Silva.

At House of Praise, Mouthpiece was baptized and completed the church's membership and small group leadership training, further strengthening his commitment to discipleship, worship, and ministry. His decades-long connection to House of Praise remains an important part of his spiritual foundation and Christian walk.

In 2018, following a season of devastating personal losses and hardship, Mouthpiece experienced a profound period of restoration. Through prayer, faith, and the encouragement of his aunt, Evangelist Margaret Montgomery, he began rebuilding his life and rediscovering his calling.

Guided by Proverbs 3:5–6, his testimony became an enduring reminder of God's faithfulness, redemption, and the power of beginning again.

His ministry relationships continued to grow through Christian hip-hop, outreach, and discipleship. He previously served as Vice President of Kingdom Outreach Training Center, the ministry founded and led by Brother Lew Acosta, before the organization closed in May 2025.

Today, Mouthpiece continues to bring together decades of music, ministry, media production, and creative entrepreneurship under the identity Mouthpiece Since ’95.

With new music, visual productions, and ministry opportunities planned for 2027 and beyond, his mission remains rooted in the same purpose that began in 1995: sharing the hope of Jesus Christ through music, testimony, creativity, and service.

The journey continues. The message remains.
